MARTINA ABOUT ME Martina was born 12 minutes after Monika. Growing up in the little town Neuwied, the twins started filming at the age of 11. They shot horror films. About 70 films of various genres followed up to the Abitur. And Martina quickly realized that directing is her absolute passion. After graduating from high school, internships and jobs in various cinema and TV productions. From winter semester 07/08 he studied "Media Arts" at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. 2011 spent a year abroad at the Escuela Internacional de Ciné y Television in Cuba and shot the short film A QUE NO TE ATREVES. 2012 Returned to Cuba (together with Monika) to shoot the diploma film CUBA LIBRE, a 90-minute documentary about the underground music scene in Havana. In 2012 Martina began her directing studies at the Hamburg Media School, which she completed in 2014 with a Master of Fine Arts. In spring 2015, Martina shot her debut film, the black comedy VORSTADTROCKER, which premiered at the Hamburg Film Festival and won the Biber for best TV film at the 37th Biberach Film Festival. In 2017, the North German western 13 UHR MITTAGS followed and shortly afterwards the ZDFneo sitcom TANKEN. This was followed by the 3rd feature film, a FRIESLAND crime thriller and most recently the children's feature film MEIN LOTTA LEBEN 2.
